Sunil Kumar Nagdawne, Chairman & Managing Director, Pawan Hans Limited called on G. V. G. Yugandhar, Director General, Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), Government of India, in New Delhi on 15 July 2026.
During the interaction, the Director General AAIB provided a comprehensive overview of the Bureau’s organizational structure, mandate and accident investigation processes. DG AAIB also provided a comprehensive presentation on helicopter accident trends and analysis in India and globally with a focus on key safety learnings, risk factors and emerging trends in rotary wing operations.
The deliberations highlighted the importance of a robust safety culture, data driven decision making, proactive risk management and continuous improvement in aviation operations. The insights shared during the meeting are expected to contribute to further strengthening safety management practices and operational excellence within Pawan Hans.
