The Uttarakhand government has carried out a bureaucratic reshuffle involving four IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across key departments.
- Vinod Kumar Suman (IAS: 2007) has been appointed as Project Director of the Uttarakhand Disaster Preparedness and Resilience Project (U-PREPARE). He will also continue to oversee the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department as Secretary and serve as Secretary of the State Disaster Management Authority.
- Saurabh Gaharwar (IAS: 2016), who was serving in the Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department, has been shifted as Additional Secretary in the Medical Health and Family Welfare Department.
- Jharna Kamthan (IAS: 2016), currently Additional Secretary, Rural Development, and Project Director of Uttarakhand Gramya Vikas Samiti-REAP, has been given additional responsibility as Secretary, Drinking Water Department and Director, Swajal.
- Prakash Chandra (IAS: 2017) has been posted as Additional Secretary, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation. He will also hold additional charge as Additional Secretary, Social Welfare Department and Managing Director of the Multipurpose Finance and Development Corporation.
The reshuffle is aimed at enhancing governance efficiency and strengthening departmental coordination across the state.
