The Bihar government has carried out a fresh IPS reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to five senior police officers across key security and investigation units. Senior IPS officer Sanjay Singh has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Security, and will also hold the additional charge of ADGP, Budget, Appeal and Welfare.
Aditya Kumar has been posted as Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-14, along with additional responsibility as SP (E), CID, Patna. Anand Kumar has been appointed DIG (Security) and has also been entrusted with the additional charge of DIG, Law and Order, Patna.
Rajesh Kumar has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Cyber Investigation and Campaign, Economic Offences Unit (EOW), Patna, while Vaibhav Sharma will take charge as SP, Naugachia.
The latest Bihar IPS transfers are aimed at strengthening state security, cyber investigation capabilities, and law enforcement administration.
