NEW DELHI – The Public Relations Society, Delhi (PRSD) recently celebrated National PR Day at the Press Club of India by honoring several distinguished veterans for their outstanding contributions to the industry. The professionals felicitated during the ceremony included Ms Ira Joshi, IIS, former DG (News), AIR and Doordarshan; Ms Usha Krishnan, former GM (PR), NHPC; Ms Nisha Sharma, former DGM (PR), SCOPE; Shri Om Prakash, former GM (PR), Power Finance Corporation; Shri T.S. Rajpoot , Former AGM (CC) , NTPC and Shri Devender Singh, Chief Editor, The Pioneer.
The honours were presented by the PRSD leadership team, comprising Chairman Shri G.S. Bawa, Past Chairmen , Shri S S Rao and Dr Sarvesh Tiwari , Vice Chairman Ms Rama Vijay, Secretary Dr Jyoti Kumar, Jt Secretary Dr Akshat Chopra, and Treasurer Vipin Kharbanda.
The event was attended by a large gathering of communication and branding experts. Notable personalities present included Shri Anil Saxena, former ADG (Media), PIB; Shri K M Prashant, former GM (CC), NTPC; Shri K N Dhawan, former HOD (PR), SCOPE; and Shri J P Daoundiyal, former DGM (PR), THDC, Shri P K Banerjee and Shri A K Tiwari, Former AGM (CC), NTPC Each year, PRSD continues its tradition of recognizing veteran professionals from the NCR area to inspire the next generation of media practitioners.
