Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL), a joint venture of NLC India Limited (NLCIL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (UPRVUNL), has commenced initial mining operations at the Pachwara South Open Cast Project in Jharkhand’s Dumka district.
The mining activities officially began on December 19, 2025, marking a key step towards enhancing India’s energy security. The inaugural event was held at Kundapahri village and witnessed the participation of key stakeholders, reflecting strong cooperation and a positive environment for the project’s progress.
