NMDC achieves record production and sales in November’25, Sets new All-time high for April–November FY’26

NMDC, India’s largest iron ore producer, has recorded exceptional operational results for November 2025 as well as the April–November period of FY 2025–26. The mining major reported its highest-ever monthly and year-to-date production and sales, showcasing strong volume growth, operational discipline, and a resilient supply chain.

In November 2025, NMDC delivered its best-ever performance for the month of November, achieving a production of 5.01 million tonnes, an 11% increase from 4.51 million tonnes in November 2024. The company also posted sales of 4.17 million tonnes, up 4% year-on-year. Production exceeded the monthly target by 1%, highlighting improved efficiency, better resource utilisation, and stronger operational rhythm across its mining units.

For the April–November FY26 period, NMDC continued its upward trajectory with record production of 31.48 million tonnes, marking a sharp 21% increase from 26.06 million tonnes during the same period in FY25. Sales for the eight-month period reached 30.28 million tonnes, reflecting a 9% rise compared to 27.84 million tonnes last year.

CMD Amitava Mukherjee said, “NMDC’s outstanding performance for November and the year so far underscores our strong operational discipline and commitment to excellence. By enhancing efficiency and maintaining a stable supply of high-quality iron ore, we continue to support India’s steel industry while creating sustained value for our stakeholders.”

All three NMDC production units contributed to this unprecedented output. As a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Steel, NMDC continues to strengthen its strategic position, backed by robust domestic demand and ongoing initiatives to enhance mining productivity, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
