Major IPS reshuffle in Madhya Pradesh: 20 officers assigned new roles

The Madhya Pradesh government has carried out a major reshuffle in the police department, assigning new responsibilities to as many as 20 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Among the new appointments, Lalit Shakyawar has been posted as DIG, PHQ, Bhopal, while Mukesh Kumar Shrivastava has been given the charge of DIG, Human Rights Commission, Bhopal.

Sunil Kumar Pandey has also been appointed DIG, PHQ, Bhopal. Other key postings include Omprakash Tripathi as DIG, SAF, Central Zone, Bhopal; Manoj Kumar Singh as DIG, Special Police Establishment, Lokayukta Organisation, Bhopal; and Manoj Kumar Shrivastava as DIG, PRTS, Indore. Additional Police Commissioner, Bhopal, will now be Mrs. Monika Shukla, while Nimish Agrawal has been made DIG, Ratlam Range.

The reshuffle also includes postings in Rewa, Chhatarpur, Balaghat, Indore, Chhindwara, Sagar, and other ranges, with officers like Hemant Chauhan, Vijay Kumar Khatri, Vinit Kumar Jain, Rajesh Singh, and Shashindra Chauhan taking charge. Furthermore, Mayank Awasthi has been posted as SP, Dhar, and Rajiv Kumar Mishra as SP, Ashoknagar. The large-scale reshuffle is aimed at streamlining law enforcement and enhancing policing efficiency across the state.
