REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, organized a blood donation camp to mark World Blood Donor Day. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Lions Blood Centre, a charitable blood bank committed to saving lives. International kickboxer Sudhir Saxena attended the event as the Guest of Honour, inspiring REC employees with his message on fitness, discipline, and social responsibility.
REC CMD Jitendra Srivastava led by example by donating blood and emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation, stating, “It is a noble act that can make a life-saving difference. At REC, we promote a culture of compassion and collective responsibility.” The camp saw enthusiastic participation from employees and highlighted REC’s commitment to community welfare and humanitarian causes. The event aligned with the global theme of World Blood Donor Day — “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.”
