South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) marked World TB Day with a series of awareness programs across its headquarters and operational areas. Activities included Nikshay Pledge, awareness rallies, free TB screening camps, and educational competitions in schools and colleges.
SECL’s Director (Personnel), Biranchi Das, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to India’s TB elimination mission. Dr. Pratibha Pathak, SECL’s Chief Medical Officer, highlighted the role of SECL’s medical teams in spreading awareness and ensuring early diagnosis.
SECL recently participated in the 100-day National TB Eradication Program, launched by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, which concluded on March 17, 2025. The campaign, part of the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), aligns with India’s Strategic Plan 2017-2025 for a TB-free nation.
