Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), recognized as India’s best-performing port, recorded a 9.14% growth in container handling in February 2025, processing 616,164 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs). This marks a significant rise compared to February 2024. From April 2024 to February 2025, JNPA handled a total of 6,629,242 TEUs, reflecting a remarkable 13.60% year-on-year growth.
Key Highlights – February 2025:
- JNPA managed 7.56 million tonnes of total cargo, registering a 2.09% increase from February 2024.
- The port efficiently handled 534 container rakes and 86,142 TEUs, up from 526 rakes and 84,350 TEUs in the same period last year.
Key Highlights – FY 2024-25 (April 2024 – February 2025):
- The port handled 83.85 million tonnes of total cargo, an increase of 7.43% year-on-year.
- A total of 6,164 container rakes and 978,130 TEUs were processed, surpassing last year’s figures of 5,864 rakes and 935,503 TEUs.
