The Union Territory of Ladakh’s administration has announced the transfer and posting of 17 officers, including two IAS officers, while also assigning additional responsibilities to several others.
Transfer of IAS Officers:
- Tushar Anand, IAS appointed as SDM Nyoma.
- Mukul Beniwal, IAS appointed as SDM Nubra.
Repatriation:
- Suhail Ahmad, ADC Kargil and CEO of the Tourism Development Authority, Kargil, has been repatriated to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for one year upon the request of the J&K Government.
Transfers within Leh:
- A G Zargar, previously ACD Leh, will now serve as GM DIC Leh, retaining additional responsibilities as PO ICDS Leh and ACD Leh.
- Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, previously GM DIC Leh, will now serve as ADC Kargil with the additional charge of CEO of Tourism Development Authority, Kargil.
Additional Charges in Kargil:
- Abdul Majid Tantray has been transferred to the post of ACR Kargil, with additional responsibility as District Social Welfare Officer, Kargil.
- Raziya Khatoon, Assistant Labour Commissioner Kargil, has been transferred to the position of ACD Kargil, with additional roles as District Panchayat Officer, Kargil.
Social Welfare Officer Transfers:
- Inzar Rana, ARTO Leh, has been transferred to the role of District Social Welfare Officer, Leh, while continuing to hold the additional charge of ARTO Leh.
Tourism Development Department:
- Padma Angmo, previously ACD Kargil, is now the Assistant Director of Tourism, Leh, with added duties as Deputy District Election Officer, Leh.
Administrative Transfers:
- Deachen Chondol has been transferred to the position of OSD to the Chief Executive Councillor/Chairman, LAHDC, Leh.
- Kaneez Fatima, previously Tehsildar Khaltsi, will now serve as HQA to DC Kargil, with the additional duty of Deputy District Election Officer, Kargil.
Labour and Handloom Departments:
- Arifa Iqbal Lone, previously HQA to DC Kargil, will now serve as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kargil, while also holding additional roles as Executive Officer, MC Kargil, and Assistant Director, Handloom & Handicraft, Kargil.
Educational Department Moves:
- Nilza Angmo, previously HQA to DC Leh, has been transferred to the UT Secretariat as Under Secretary (Higher Education, Social Welfare, Technical Education, and Skill Development).
- Rigzin Yangdol, previously Under Secretary in the same departments, will now serve as HQA to DC Leh.
Tehsildar and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Roles:
- Mohd Sharief, previously ACR Kargil, will now serve as Tehsildar Khaltsi, with the additional role of SDM Khaltsi.
- Gurmet Namgial, previously SDM Sankoo, has been transferred as OSD at the UT Secretariat overseeing Civil Aviation, Hospitality, and Protocol Department.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Additional Charges:
- Manzoor Hussain, BDO Kharu, will take on additional duties as BDO Thiksay.
- Mohd Sadik, Assistant Director at Pashmina Goat Farm, Nyoma, will handle additional responsibilities as BDO Nyoma.
Veterinary Officer Assignments:
- Dr. Nasren Fatima, Block Veterinary Officer, Durbuk, will take on the additional charge as BDO Durbuk.
- Dr. Rauful Hussain, In-charge Livestock Development Officer, will hold additional responsibilities as BDO Turtuk.
- Mohd Issa, Soil Conservation Officer, CAD Kargil, will handle additional duties as BDO Sankoo.
These transfers and postings reflect the administrative reshuffle across various sectors in the Union Territory of Ladakh, ensuring a balance of experience and strategic assignments within the region.
