Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Manoj Kumar Subudhi, a Superintendent of Central GST & Central Excise in Odisha’s Ganjam district. Subudhi was caught red-handed whileaccepting a bribe of ₹15,000 from a complainant in exchange for processing their GST refund.
The case was registered based on the complaint against the accused, who had allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹20,000, citing previous GST refund processing and the promise of smoothly handling another refund1.
