The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recently conducted a selection meeting for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL). Unfortunately, despite three candidates participating in the interviews, no suitable candidate was identified for the position12. It’s quite a challenging task to find the right fit for such a crucial leadership role. HCL, which has outlined strategies including reopening closed mines, aims to augment its production capacity to up to 20 million tonnes per annum by 20243. Let’s hope they eventually find a capable leader to steer the company toward its goals!
