. Nachiketa Mittal has been appointed as the Director of Admissions at National Law University Tripura (NLUT) in Agartala, Tripura. He is also a part of the NLU’s Founding Faculty.
Dr. Mittal is a 2006 graduate of the University of Pune and earned his LLM in Human Rights from National Law School of India University in 2008. He has a PhD in Law from NLU Odisha, where his research focused on Access to Justice for the Rural and the sustainability of Gram Nyayalaya model.
Dr. Mittal has over a decade of experience teaching in National and International institutions. He has been associated with multiple NLUs namely NLU Odisha, National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi (NUSRL Ranchi) and National Law Institute University Bhopal (NLIU Bhopal). He has also delivered lectures as a Visiting Faculty across a multitude of institutions.
Dr. Mittal is the Founder and Director of the Virtual Law School, India’s first online law school. He is also the Founder and Director of the Judicial Preparation and Advisory Center (JPAC), a law teachers’ driven initiative.
At NLU Tripura, Dr. Mittal will be supervising admissions for the BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programs. He is committed to making NLU Tripura a leading law school in the Northeastern region of India and to providing its students with a high-quality legal education.
