REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE and leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal. As per the agreement, REC has committed ₹21,000 crore over the next five years to bolster power sector infrastructure in the state.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, alongside other key officials, including Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) and Avinash Lawania, IAS, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL).
This strategic investment aims to enhance transmission and distribution infrastructure, accelerate renewable energy adoption, and improve overall power supply reliability for industries, businesses, and households across Madhya Pradesh.
