20 IPS officers shifted in major Police Department overhaul in Chhattisgarh

In a major reshuffle within the Chhattisgarh Police Department, 20 IPS officers have been transferred to new roles. Pawan Deo has been made CMD of the Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation, Raipur. Ankit Kumar Garg is now Inspector General of Police (IGP) at SBI, PHQ, while Dhruv Gupta steps in as IGP, CID at Police Headquarters in Nava Raipur. Deepak Kumar Jha will take over as IGP of the Surguja Range and Abhishek Shandilya as IGP of the Rajnandgaon Range.

The Law and Order division in Nava Raipur will now be headed by Balaji Rao Somawar, and Intelligence by Ajatashatru Bahadur Singh. Vivek Shukla has been posted as AIG, CID, Nava Raipur. District-level changes include Rajesh Kumar Agarwal as SP, Surguja; Vijay Agarwal as SP, Durg; and Bhavna Gupta as SP, Balodabazar-Bhatapara. Others in new assignments include Suraj Singh in Dhamtari, Trilok Bansal in STF, Baghera, and Lakshya Sharma in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai. Jitendra Shukla takes command of the 5th Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces in Jagdalpur. Anjaneya Varshneya will now serve as SP, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh; Pushkar Sharma as Commandant, VIP Corps, Mana; Yogesh Kumar Patel as SP, Balod; S R Bhagat in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi and Vijay Pandey in Janjgir-Champa.
