In a recent cadre advancement, 19 senior officers from the Indian P\&T Accounts and Finance Service (IP\&TAFS), Group “A”, have been granted Non-Functional Upgradation (NFU) to the Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) — equivalent to Additional Secretary level — effective from April 2025. This includes 18 officers from the 1998 batch and one from the 1992 batch.
Key names from the 1998 batch include Dr. Joydeep Guha (on deputation to GSI), Dr. D.K. Singhal (DDG, NICF), Satish Chandra Jha (CCA, Maharashtra & Goa), and Amitabh Ranjan Sinha (Joint Secretary & FA, Ministry of Defence), among others.
Ashish Joshi from the 1992 batch has also received the HAG elevation. The upgradation reflects their continued service excellence and eligibility for higher responsibilities within the government framework.
