In a significant boost to Maharashtra’s forest governance, twelve officers from the State Forest Service (SFS) have been promoted to the Indian Forest Service (IFoS). This advancement comes against the Select List (SL) of 2024 and reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen ecological leadership in the state. All promoted officers have been allocated the Maharashtra Cadre, ensuring continuity in their regional expertise and forest conservation efforts.
The officers selected for elevation include Vijaysingh Shankarro Deshmukh, Vijay Sahadeorao Bhakre, Trigun Shamrao Kulkarni, Gajanana Dhondiram Patil, and Pankaj Santosh Deore. Also on the list are Manjiree Madhusudan Manolkar, Asha Afzal Khan Pathan, Rajlaxmi Shafique Shah, Sonali Nilkanth Muley, Gajendra Chintamanrao Bawane, Mahesh Bhaskarrao Patil, and Pratibha Samadhan Ingle. Their promotion marks a milestone in recognizing experienced forest professionals and equipping the Indian Forest Service with seasoned talent for effective environmental stewardship.
