Tamil Nadu Administrative Shake-Up: 10 IAS officers entrusted with key leadership roles

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has assigned fresh responsibilities to 10 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across key departments and public sector organizations. The move is aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing service delivery, and accelerating development initiatives across the state.

Among the prominent appointments, T. Prabhushankar has been named Director of Geology and Mining, while D. Mohan takes charge as Managing Director of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation. V.P. Jeyaseelan has been appointed Director of Tourism and will additionally hold the post of Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation Limited.

Further, Innocent Divya has been entrusted with the leadership of Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society (Co-optex) as Managing Director. Kavitha Ramu has been appointed Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (TUFIDCO), while P. Ramana Saraswathi assumes charge as Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board. Shreya P. Singh has been transferred as Joint Commissioner (Health), Greater Chennai Corporation.

On the district administration front, P. Akash has been posted as District Collector of Sivaganga, while Nishant Krishna takes over as District Collector of Madurai. Additionally, N. Ponmani has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Tiruchirapalli Region. The latest postings reflect the state government’s focus on administrative efficiency and effective governance.
