In a significant administrative reshuffle in Maharashtra, seven IPS officers have been entrusted with new responsibilities across various police units. Senior IPS officer Sharda Raut has been appointed as Special Inspector General of Police, Anti-Drug Squad, while Vineeta Sahu will take over as Additional Police Commissioner, Armed Police, Mumbai.
The state government has also posted Sheela Sayil as Superintendent of Police, Anti Terrorist Squad, Mumbai. Prakash Jadhav has been assigned the role of Assistant Inspector General of Police in the Office of the Director General of Police. Meanwhile, Vivek Patil has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and Dattatraya Kamble will serve as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Brihanmumbai. In another key posting, Ashok Bankar has been named Principal of the Police Training Centre, Jalna.
The latest Maharashtra IPS transfers are aimed at strengthening law enforcement, anti-drug operations, and police administration across the state.
