Senior officers empanelled for Director General and DG-equivalent positions in GoI

In a significant administrative development, the Government of India (GoI) has approved the empanelment of 35 senior officers for appointment to the post of Director General (DG) and DG-equivalent positions. This move underscores the government’s focus on strengthening leadership across key departments and agencies by placing experienced and competent officers in top positions.

Among those empanelled for the Director General rank are notable names such as Jitendra, Neeraja Gotru Rao, Manvinder Singh Bhatia, R.P. Rao Koche, Rajiv Singh, and Zaki Ahmad. These officers bring decades of rich experience in public service, internal security, and administrative governance.

The list further includes distinguished officers like Anurag Kumar, Syed Javaid Mujtaba Gilani, Deepak Kumar, A. Ravi Shankar, Amit Kumar, and Anupama Nilekar Chandra, each known for their exceptional service records and policy contributions in various government capacities.

Also empanelled are Manoj Shashidhar, Rakesh Aggarwal, Sampat Meena, Pronab Mohanty, Anant Kumar Singh, Manmeet Singh Narang, and Yeshwant Kumar Jethwa, whose leadership is expected to significantly enhance operational efficiency and strategic direction at the DG level.

The empanelment includes seasoned officers such as Amardeep Singh, Anita Punj, Praveen Kumar Sinha, Sudhanshu S. Srivastava, Rajesh Kumar, Apte Vinayak Prabhakar, Shikha Goel, G. Venkataraman, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, Akhil Kumar, Prakash D, Raja Srivastava, and Sujeet Pandey—each bringing specialized expertise to their new roles.

Additionally, three senior officers—Neeraj Thakur, Kala Ramachandran, and Anurag—have been empanelled specifically for holding DG-equivalent positions within the Government of India, further broadening the leadership pool for high-level assignments.

This extensive empanelment marks a major step towards reinforcing high-level administrative leadership and is likely to support various policy, security, and governance initiatives across central ministries and departments.
