The Tamil Nadu Government has announced a major reshuffle involving nine IPS officers across the state. As part of the new appointments:
- Mrs. Anisa Husain takes charge as IGP, Idol Wing CID.
- Mrs. S. Lakshmi becomes IGP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, SIC-II, Chennai.
- Dr. Sonal Chandra, Deputy IGP, assumes office as DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic (North), Greater Chennai Police.
- G. Jawahar is posted as SP, Metro Zone, Crime Branch-CID, Chennai, with additional charge of SP, North Zone, CB-CID.
- Mrs. R. Sughasini is transferred as DC, Traffic (West), Greater Chennai Police.
- Mrs. M. P. Dhivya becomes Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Coimbatore City.
- Mrs. B. H. Shajitha is posted as SP, Coordination & Administration, CB-CID, Chennai, with additional charge of SP, South Zone, CB-CID.
- Dr. P. Vijaya Kumar assumes the role of DIGP/JCP, Traffic (South), Greater Chennai Police.
- Bandi Gangadhar is appointed as DIGP/JCP, Law & Order, East Zone, Greater Chennai Police.
