Punjab government reshuffles eight IPS officers

The Punjab government has ordered a reshuffle involving eight IPS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across key departments. Naresh Arora has been posted as Special DGP, Human Rights, Punjab, Chandigarh, while continuing to hold the additional charge of Special DGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission (PSHRC). S S Srivastava has been transferred as Special DGP, Headquarters, Punjab.

In other changes, P K Sinha has been appointed Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, while Dr Kaustubh Sharma takes charge as ADGP, Security, Punjab. Dr Sukhchain Singh has been posted as IGP, Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar. Sandeep Goel has been appointed DIG, AGTF-2, Ludhiana, while retaining additional charge of DIG, Border Range, Amritsar. Maninder Singh has been posted as AIG, Welfare, Punjab, with additional charge of SSP, Ropar, and Kanwaldeep Singh has been appointed AIG, Personnel-1, Punjab, Chandigarh.
