K P Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director of NBCC (India) Ltd., represented Indian employers at the 113th International Labour Conference held at the ILO headquarters in Geneva on June 9, 2025. Addressing global delegates, Mahadevaswamy expressed India’s strong support for inclusive growth, sustainable employment, and workforce welfare.
He praised the ILO’s theme, “Jobs, Rights and Growth,” as timely, and emphasized India’s legislative and policy efforts in labour reforms, social protection, and skilling initiatives. Highlighting programs like Skill India and initiatives for the informal and gig workforce, he reiterated India’s vision for decent work, global cooperation, and inclusive economic development — echoing the Indian ethos of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, or “The world is one family.”
