The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a major administrative overhaul, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to 26 IAS officers across key departments. The reshuffle is intended to streamline governance and enhance departmental performance.
Sheo Shekhar Shukla has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and given additional charge as ACS, Culture, along with responsibilities as Trustee Secretary, Bharat Bhavan. Umakant Umrao has taken over as Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, while Shobhit Jain has been posted as Principal Secretary, AYUSH.
Among other key appointments, Dr John Kingsley A R has been posted as Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing, with additional charge of Secretary, Narmada Valley Development. Shriman Shukla will serve as Secretary, Planning, Economics and Statistics, along with the role of Member Secretary, State Food Commission. Swatantra Kumar Singh has been named Secretary, Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development.
Further, Vishesh Gadhpale has been appointed Managing Director, MP Power Management Company and Secretary, Energy, while Alok Kumar Singh assumes charge as Secretary to the Chief Minister. Dhanraj Raju S has been posted as Commissioner, Health Services, and Anay Dwivedi as Commissioner, Commercial Tax.
Other notable postings include Tarun Rathi as Commissioner, Tribal Development, Anurag Chaudhary as Managing Director, MP Fisheries Federation, and Mrs Neha Maravya Singh as Additional Secretary, Tribal Affairs. Gautam Singh has been appointed Commissioner, MP Housing Construction and Infrastructure Development Board, while Virendra Kumar becomes Additional Commissioner (Revenue), Gwalior Division.
Additionally, Ms Nidhi Nivedita has been posted as Commissioner, Women and Child Development, Dr Fating Rahul Ramdas as Director, Health Services, and Rajesh Kumar Ogre as Additional Secretary, Commercial Tax. Rishi Garg has taken over as Managing Director, MP Central Region Power Distribution Company, and Mrs Manisha Sentia as Additional Secretary, Home.
The reshuffle also includes Dilip Kumar Yadav as Managing Director, MP Tourism Development Corporation, Buddhesh Kumar Vaidya as Secretary, MP Board of Secondary Education, Dilip Kumar Kapse as Deputy Secretary, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, Mrs Malika Nigam Nagar as Deputy Secretary, Revenue, Mrs Disha Pranay Nagvanshi as Additional Mission Director, National Health Mission, and Mrs Vandana Sharma as Secretary, MP State Information Commission.
