In a significant administrative overhaul, the Punjab government has reassigned as many as 20 IAS officers to new positions. Vijay Mandeorao Zade has been appointed Secretary, Expenditure, while Ajit Balaji Joshi takes over as Secretary, Rural Development, and Abhinav Trikha has been posted as Secretary, Finance.
Among other postings, Kanwal Preet Brar has been appointed Secretary, Health, Kumar Amit as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Vimal Kumar Setia as Secretary, Home Affairs. Puneet Goyal has been named Special Secretary, Medical Education, while Syed Sehrish Asgar has been posted as Special Secretary, Power. Sakshi Sawhney has assumed charge as Chief Administrator, Greater Mohali Area Development Authority, and Preeti Yadav has been appointed Managing Director, MARKFED.
Further, Paramvir Singh has been posted as Special Secretary, Revenue, Amandeep Kaur as Special Secretary, NRI Affairs, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh as Deputy Commissioner, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, and Neeru Katyal Gupta as Commissioner, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation. Varjeet Walia has been appointed Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, Ankurjeet Singh as Additional Secretary, Home Affairs, T Benith as Additional Secretary, Revenue, Harpreet Singh as Deputy Commissioner, Barnala, and Aparna M B as Chief Administrator, Patiala.
