Karnataka Bureaucratic Shake-Up: Anjum Parwez Appointed Additional Chief Secretary in Key IAS Reshuffle

In a significant bureaucratic restructuring, the Karnataka government has transferred six IAS officers and assigned them to strategic administrative positions. The reshuffle is expected to bolster governance, accelerate policy implementation, and enhance departmental coordination across the state.

Senior IAS officer Anjum Parwez has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, Bengaluru. Among other prominent changes, Munish Moudgil has been moved as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister for Programme and Project Implementation, while Deepa Cholan has been posted as Secretary, Transport Department. Cauvery B.B. will now head the Urban Development Department as Secretary, whereas Venkatesh M.V. has been assigned as Registrar of Co-operative Societies. Selvamani R. takes over as Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety. The latest administrative changes underline Karnataka’s efforts to strengthen institutional leadership in key governance sectors.
