Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has expanded its CSR footprint by signing four significant Memorandums of Understanding aimed at improving healthcare, nutrition, mobility, and women’s education. These initiatives reflect HURL’s commitment to inclusive development and long-term community welfare.
- Project POSHAN – Tackling Malnutrition Among Women
In collaboration with the Parichay Foundation, HURL has launched Project POSHAN to support 190 underprivileged women in Raghunathpur and Patia, Bhubaneswar. The project provides nutrition packages, essential supplements, medical check-ups, and personalised guidance from trained nutritionists to improve haemoglobin, BMI, and overall health outcomes.
- Project AASHIYANA – Safe Hostel Facility for Young Women
HURL has partnered with The Kalgidhar Trust to build a two-storey girls’ hostel at Eternal University, Baru Sahib (Himachal Pradesh). With 14 rooms accommodating 42 students, the facility aims to empower young women—especially from rural and low-income families—by giving them safe residential support and better access to higher education.
- Project SWASTHYA SATHI – Assistive Devices for Divyangjan and Seniors
Through an MoU with ALIMCO, HURL will provide mobility aids such as prosthetic limbs, wheelchairs, tricycles, walkers, hearing aids, and spectacles across Gorakhpur, Barauni, and Sindri. Nearly 7,500 beneficiaries are expected to receive support through specialised assessment and distribution camps.
- Project SEHAT SATHI – Upgrading Primary Healthcare Systems
Partnering with HLFPPT, HURL will enhance primary health infrastructure by upgrading PHC/CHC/HWC centres, installing advanced diagnostic equipment, strengthening maternal health services, and building staff capacity. The initiative aims to benefit more than 50,000 people, aligning with national standards such as Kayakalp, NQAS, and LaQshya.
HURL’s CSR Vision
These four strategic collaborations embody HURL’s mission to foster healthier, empowered, and inclusive communities—promoting long-term social development and nation-building.
