Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has taken another major step in community empowerment by signing an MoU to launch SAKSHAM 2.0, a new phase of its highly successful CSR skill development programme, SAKSHAM 1.0. The agreement was signed at HURL’s Corporate Office, marking the beginning of a more impactful initiative aimed at uplifting unemployed and underprivileged youth.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, alongside senior representatives from HURL and CIPET, whose ongoing collaboration is central to the programme’s success. Their partnership ensures that the initiative continues to deliver high-quality skill training in alignment with industry needs.
Under SAKSHAM 2.0, HURL and CIPET will jointly train 418 young beneficiaries from Gorakhpur, Sindri, Dhanbad, Barauni and Begusarai. Training will be offered in industry-relevant fields such as plastics processing, injection moulding, recycling technologies and tool-room operations. The programme is fully residential and spans four months, providing trainees with structured classroom learning, practical sessions, accommodation, certification, and a monthly stipend.
One of the key strengths of SAKSHAM 2.0 is its strong emphasis on employability. With CIPET’s extensive network in the manufacturing and polymer industries, participants will receive maximum placement assistance, creating real opportunities for long-term career growth. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to socio-economic development across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
With the launch of SAKSHAM 2.0, HURL reaffirms its commitment to nurturing skilled manpower, empowering rural and semi-urban communities, and supporting India’s youth in building a confident, self-reliant future.
