Haryana Government reshuffles 18 IAS officers, assigns key administrative responsibilities

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Haryana Government has transferred and assigned new responsibilities to 18 IAS officers across various departments and districts. The latest administrative changes are aimed at strengthening governance, improving departmental coordination, and enhancing public service delivery in the state.

Senior IAS officer Pankaj Yadav has been appointed as Principal Secretary (PS), Cooperation Department and Public Health Engineering Department. He will also serve as Principal Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi. Meanwhile, Sanjay Joon, currently serving as Director General, Sainik & Ardh Sainik Welfare Haryana, has been given the additional charge of Chairman, Mewat Development Agency, Nuh.

Geeta Bharti, Commissioner of Hisar Division, has also been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hisar Metropolitan Development Authority. Similarly, A Mona Sreenivas, Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, and CEO of Sonepat Metropolitan Development Authority, has been assigned the additional charge of Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana.

The reshuffle also includes important departmental assignments. Dr Priyanka Soni has been given additional charge as Special Secretary, Grievances Department, while Dharmender Singh has been posted as Chief Administrator, State Agricultural Marketing Board. Manoj Kumar-I will additionally serve as CEO, Haryana Pariwar Suraksha Nyas.

Ajay Kumar, who is currently serving as Deputy Principal Secretary-II to the Chief Minister, has been entrusted with multiple additional responsibilities. He will now also function as Director, Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes and Antyodaya (SEWA) Haryana, Special Secretary to Government in the SEWA Department, and Mission Director of the Mukhya Mantri Antyoday Parivaar Utthaan Yojana.

Among district-level changes, Mandeep Kumar has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Charkhi Dadri, while Dr Vaishali Sharma takes over as Deputy Commissioner of Jind. Ayush Sinha, Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad, has also been assigned additional charge as CEO, Faridabad City Transport Services Limited, and Additional CEO of Smart City Limited, Faridabad.

Varinder Singh Dahiya has been posted as Director, Environment and Special Secretary, Environment, Forests & Wildlife Department, along with the additional responsibility of Director, State Transport. Mohd Imran Raza has been appointed as Director and Special Secretary, Human Resources, while Dr Munish Nagpal will serve as Special Secretary, Secretariat Establishment.

Aparajita has been posted as Additional Secretary, Fisheries Department, along with the charge of Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal. Samwarthak Singh Khangwal has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Department and Director, IT, Electronics & Communication, Haryana. He will also serve as Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Gurugram.

In another important move, Narendra Kumar has been given additional charge as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Rohtak. Anjali Shrotiya will additionally handle responsibilities as Administrator, HSVP, Faridabad, and Additional Director, Urban Estate, Faridabad, alongside her current duties.

The latest Haryana IAS reshuffle is being seen as a significant administrative exercise aimed at streamlining governance, strengthening urban administration, and ensuring effective implementation of welfare and development initiatives across the state.
