Dr. Mihir Kumar Choudhury has been transferred from the South Eastern Railway (SER) to the Eastern Railway (ER) as the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD). He is an Indian Railway Health Service (IRHS) officer. The transfer order was issued on August 25, 2023.
Dr. Choudhury is a qualified medical doctor with over 30 years of experience in the Indian Railways. He has held several important positions in the IRHS, including Chief Medical Officer of the East Coast Railway and Principal Medical Officer of the Chittaranjan Locomotive Works.
In his new role as PCMD of the ER, Dr. Choudhury will be responsible for the overall health care of the railway employees and their families. He will also be responsible for the planning and implementation of health care programs for the railway.
