Centre clears empanelment of 19 officers for Joint secretary roles

The Government of India has empanelled 19 accomplished officers for appointment to the post of Joint Secretary or equivalent positions. This significant round of empanelments marks a strategic move to reinforce senior-level leadership across key ministries and departments.

Among the officers empanelled are C Nagaraju, Anurag, and Harinaryaanchari Mishra—each known for their extensive experience and administrative acumen. They are joined by Nikhil Kumar Kanodia, Shahanawaz Qasim, and Anish Prasad, all of whom bring a wealth of sectoral knowledge to the table. Their inclusion is expected to strengthen governance efforts in diverse areas ranging from internal security to development planning.

The list also includes Gagandeep Gambhir, Satender Kumar Gupta, Anup Kuruvilla, Nitinjeet Singh, and Ruchika Rishi—officers whose work has consistently reflected innovation and commitment to public service. Additionally, Asra Garg, Mitesh Jain, and Ms Antara Acharya have also made the cut, reinforcing gender-balanced representation at leadership levels.

Rounding off the list are Gopal Singh, S P Anandh Kumar, Ziley Singh Vical, M Subramanian, and Mohammad Isharar Ali—each of whom brings a unique administrative track record. Their empanelment signals the Centre’s continued emphasis on experienced and reform-minded leadership to drive its governance agenda forward.
