The Kerala government has carried out a significant reshuffle of the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring and posting 16 IPS officers across key policing roles in the state. The changes aim to strengthen law enforcement and improve administrative efficiency.
As per the latest orders, Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar has been appointed Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Kochi City. Hari Sankar takes charge as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Armed Police Battalions, while Narayanan T has been posted as DIG, Thrissur Range.
Further postings include Arul R B Krishna as DIG, Ernakulam Range, Jaidev G IPS as Commissioner of Police, Kozhikode City, and Mrs Kiran Narayanan IPS as Superintendent of Police (Internal Security), State Special Branch. Sudarsan K S has been named District Police Chief, Ernakulam Rural, and Mrs Hemalatha assumes charge as Commissioner of Police, Kollam City.
In other appointments, K E Baiju has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Coastal Police, while Padam Singh takes over as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order and Traffic), Kozhikode City. Farash T is now District Police Chief, Kozhikode Rural, and Taposh Basumatary has been appointed DCP (Law & Order and Traffic), Thiruvananthapuram City.
Additionally, Arun K Pavithran has been posted as District Police Chief, Wayanad, Mohammad Nadeemuddin as Superintendent of Police, Railways, and Juvvanapudi Mahesh as District Police Chief, Thiruvananthapuram Rural. Shahansha K S has been assigned the role of DCP (Law & Order–II), Kochi City.
