In a significant administrative overhaul, the Telangana government has carried out a large-scale reshuffle of 20 IPS officers, assigning them key policing responsibilities across Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and the newly formed commissionerates.
Senior officer Tafseer Iqbal has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), South Range, covering Shamshabad, Golconda, Rajendranagar, and Charminar zones. Ms N Swetha assumes charge as Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order), North Range, overseeing Jubilee Hills, Khairatabad, and Secunderabad, while S M Vijay Kumar takes over as Joint CP, Special Branch, Hyderabad.
Several Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) postings have also been announced across multiple zones, including Rakshitha K Murthy (Secunderabad), Khare Kiran Prabhakar (Charminar), K Shilpavalli (Khairatabad), S Sreenivas (Rajendranagar), G Chandra Mohan (Golconda), and A Ramana Reddy (Jubilee Hills).
In Cyberabad and Future City commissionerates, officers such as N Koti Reddy, Ritiraj, Srinivas, K Narayana Reddy, Yogesh Goutam, and Ms Sirisha have been entrusted with strategic DCP roles. Meanwhile, B Rajesh has been retained as DCP, Shamshabad, in the newly created Hyderabad City zone.
The reshuffle concludes with Sadhana Rashmi Perumal being appointed as Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, marking a crucial leadership transition in the district.
