Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, who is currently serving as Director (Projects) at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), has been selected for the prestigious position of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), POWERGRID. His selection was finalized during a meeting of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) held on December 13, 2025.
A total of nine senior candidates were interviewed for the top post. POWERGRID, a leading central public sector enterprise in the power transmission sector, is expected to benefit from Burra’s extensive experience in project execution and infrastructure development.
