36 IAS officers reshuffled in major Delhi administrative overhaul

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle in Delhi, 36 IAS officers have been assigned new portfolios across key departments. The move is aimed at strengthening governance, administrative efficiency, and departmental coordination within the Delhi government.

Bipul Pathak has been entrusted with the additional charge of ACS (SC/ST/OBC), while Sandeep Kumar has been relieved from his additional responsibilities as PS, Home and PS, IT. Santosh D. Vaidya, currently serving as PS, Home, will now also oversee PS, Finance, PS, Industries, and serve as Chairman of DSIIDC.

Nikhil Kumar has been appointed Commissioner, Trade & Taxes, while Neeraj Semwal has been relieved from the additional charge of Secretary, Land & Building. Ms Padma Jaiswal joins as Special Secretary, AR. Pandurang K. Pole will serve as Secretary, GAD, along with additional charges as Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Labour and Secretary, Cooperation.

Vijay Kumar Bidhuri has been assigned additional charge as Chairman, DPCC. Rupesh Kumar Thakur becomes Secretary, Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), along with additional charge as CEO, DUSIB. Yashpal Garg has been appointed Secretary, Planning, with additional responsibility for Land & Building. Sanjeev Ahuja takes over as Secretary, Education, and will also handle Higher Education & TTE.

Jitender Yadav has been given additional charge as Secretary, IT, while Niraj Kumar has been posted as Special Secretary, SC/ST/OBC. Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, B.S. Jaglan, and Dr. S.S. Dursawat have been appointed as Additional Commissioners in MCD.

Aman Gupta takes charge as Member (Finance), Delhi Jal Board, while Rahul Singh becomes Secretary, NDMC. Suneel Anchipaka has been appointed MD & CEO, DT&TDC, with additional charge as Special Secretary, PWD. Santosh Kumar Rai has been named Special Commissioner, Trade & Taxes, along with additional charge as Special CEO, DDMA.

Ms Swetika Sachan joins as Member (Administration), Delhi Jal Board. Ms Angel Bhati has been appointed Director, Higher Education, and will also serve as Special Development Commissioner and Special Secretary, H&FW. Ms Saloni Rai takes charge as Deputy Commissioner/DM (North). Sunny Kumar Singh has been given additional charge as Special Secretary, Power and MD of IPGCL/PPCL.

Hari Kallikkat has been posted as Deputy Commissioner/DM, West, with additional responsibility as CVO, DSIIDC. Wairokpam Singh, Ms Kanika, and Raghvendra Meena have been appointed as Deputy Commissioners in MCD.

This large-scale IAS reshuffle in Delhi reflects the government’s focus on administrative restructuring and improved public service delivery.
