The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Regional Labour Commissioner (Central) Madurai and a private person in an alleged bribery case of Rs. 30,000. A case was registered against a Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Madurai and a private person, resident of Triplicane, Chennai on the allegations that the said public servant was demanding undue advantage from a private person, representing a private company for issuing labour licence. CBI laid a trap. Both the accused were intercepted while exchanging the undue advantage/bribe amount of Rs. 30,000/-. Searches were conducted at 05 places in Chennai and Madurai (Tamil Nadu).
