The Union Home Ministry has sent another letter to West Bengal Government to relieve three IPS officers for whom it had sought central deputation at the earliest. MHA has asked Bholanath Pandey (SP, Diamond Harbour), Rajeev Mishra (ADG, South Bengal) and Praveen Tripathi (DIG, Presidency Range) to be relieved from Bengal government duties at the earliest.

Mamata Banerjee has said, “We wouldn’t allow this brazen attempt by the Centre to control the State machinery by proxy! West Bengal is not going to cow-down in front of expansionist & undemocratic forces.”
