Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal of Suratgarh Super Critical Thermal Power Project of 660-660 MW for the increased cost of seventh and eighth unit of 1241 crore 35 lakhs. At the same time, he has also given the approval to give an equal amount of 20 percent of the increased cost of Rs 248 crore 27 lakh in the form of a share of state government.
It is worth noting that the work of these two units was to be completed at the cost of 7 thousand 920 crores in the time of the previous government in 2016, but due to non-completion of the work, their cost increased to Rs. 1241 crores 35 lacs 9 thousand 161 crores 35 lacs Rupees are done.
After this approval, the work of these two units will be completed soon and in the same year, commercial production will be started.
