Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra distributed cheques of Rs. One lakh each to 276 beneficiaries as first installment to construct their own houses under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana at Badouni of Datia district today. It may be mentioned that 276 houses have been approved in the first list in Badouni. Dr. Mishra has informed the beneficiaries that remaining amount of Rs. One lakh 50 thousand will be given to them in 2 installments shortly to construct house.

Moreover, Dr. Mishra said that the government is committed to provide an opportunity to poor families to lead a respectable life. He informed that all the development works are being completed on priority in Badouni Nagar Panchayat. Office of the SDO Police has been opened here. Badouni has got water augmentation scheme costing Rs. 5 crore and research center, broadening of traffic squares and construction of road has also been undertaken. Free gas connections have also been given to women of poor families under the Ujjawala yojana.
