In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh Government has transferred 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across key positions to strengthen the state’s law enforcement network.
Abhishek Trivedi has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police (Prisons and Correctional Services), Shimla, while Prem Kumar Thakur takes over as Inspector General of Police (Police Academy, Training & Research), Shimla. Dr. D. K. Chaudhary will now serve as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Cyber Crime, Dharamshala, Kangra.
Other notable postings include Anupam Sharma as DIG (Crime, CID, Shimla), Ms. Ranjana Chauhan as DIG (Leave Reserve & State Human Rights Commission), and Dr. Karthikeyan Gokulchandran as SP, Compulsory Waiting Officer, Police Headquarters.
Additionally, Ashok Ratan has been posted as SP Kangra, Abhishek S. as SP (Law & Order), PHQ Shimla, Sachin Hiremath as SP, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau (Mandi Zone), and Ms. Aditi Singh as SP, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau (Dharamshala Zone).
The reshuffle also includes Gurvajeet Singh as SDO (Police), Nadaun, Hamirpur, and Ms. Mehar Panwar as ASP, Shimla.
This reorganization aims to ensure enhanced law enforcement efficiency and optimized resource deployment across the state.
